Scheduling Twitter Posts Seems Wrong

Twuffer
Among all the popular Twitter tools, one that I find somewhat puzzling is being able to post-date a post so that it appears in the future. One of the tools that falls in this category is Twuffer, which was reviewed yesterday by Download Squad.

The problem with post-dating tools is it seems to go against the grain of what makes Twitter so useful and interesting – the fact it’s a living, dynamic and fluid ways of distributing and consuming information. Twitter is very much of the moment as opposed to being a structured, planned forum.

There are probably some Twitter users who might find a post-dating tool useful. In particular, companies that want to schedule an announcement at a particular time. But scheduling something on Twitter just seems wrong.

Some other tools to schedule Twitter posts include TweetLater, which also lets you auto-follow and auto-welcome people.
