Of Course, Tim O’Reilly Loves Twitter

Tim O’Reilly loves Twitter.

While I’m sure he’s as enamored with Twitter for the many of the same reasons as the rest of us, Twitter is also a major research/consulting opportunity for O’Reilly Media.

For example, O’Reilly recent issued a 54-page report – “Twitter and the Micro-Messaging Revolution: Communication, Connections, and Immediacy–140 Characters at a Time” – that costs a sweet US$249 for a PDF, or US$625 for a five-person license.

Bottom line: Twitter is good business – perhaps not for Twitter itself right now but there’s lot of money to be made from giving people insight what Twitter’s about and how to use it.
