One of the problems with the emergence of social media tools such as Twitter and Facebook is they tend to operate in silos. What you do on one platform is often not evident in another platform, although Friendfeed fans will argue otherwise.
When it comes to Twitter, an interesting and new service is TwitchBoard, which proclaims that it “listens to your twitter account, and forwards messages on to other internet services based on what it hears.”
TwitchBoard’s first service partner is del.icio.us. Any links you tweet will automatically be added to del.icio.us. This strikes me as useful given many of the posts I put are Twitter contain URLs for articles and blog post that I deem to be interesting enough to share.
At this point, I’ll call TwitchBoard interesting and something with intriguing potential.

Actually Facebook currently imports my delicious bookmarks, twitter, and so on to my feed, and I can also put RSS feeds into twitter, so there is a growing amount of integration even with Facebook and Twitter. Still, it's nice to have more services to connect the dots, like TwitchBoard, but I wonder how these auxiliary services will pay for themselves given how easy it is for Twitter themselves to replicate this functionality?
Doesn't matter if they pay for themselves or not as long as they can continue operation (either as an api available for everyone or otherwise). At least, as far as I'm concerned.
Great service though and a good find. Thank you.
