One of the downsides of Twitter is going through new people who follow you, and then deciding whether to follow them back.
This is becoming more of a “problem” as discovery tools such as Mr. Tweet make it easier and quicker to follow new people. In the past few weeks, I’ve tried to check out each new person who follows me but keeping up can be difficult, if not impossible.
Enter Tweepler. After you give them your Twitter username and password (if you’re brave enough to do so!), Tweepler shows you two columns: one showing the people you’re following, and the other showing people who have followed you but you haven’t followed back. You can filter followers by newest, name or Twitter ID.
You can see details about each person following you, and then decide whether to follow ignore them.
All in all, it’s an efficient and time-efficient way to sort through your followers. If you’re getting a lot of follow notifications recently, Tweepler could become a must-use tool.

Hi Mark,
For people (like me!) who don't want to give out Twitter usernames and passwords, there's a similar version here:

John,
Thanks for putting the spotlight on Friend or Follow. Cool tool!
Cory Schop here one of the founders of Tweepler. Thanks for a great article. John we like Friend Or Follow as well but feel the two applications serve a very different purpose. We will be looking at integrating OAuth soon so login information will go to Twitter and Twitter will redirect to our application. This is something that is new and had some issues but we will be looking into it. For those out there that do like Tweepler and find it to be one of the better Twitter tools out there we thank you very much for your continued support.
