If you step back from Twitter-mania, one of the most impressive things is how co-founders Biz Stone and Evan Williams have remained accessible and available.
While some entrepreneurs would have retreated from the glare of the spotlight, Stone and Williams seem to have remained focused on who they are and what they’re doing, while staying remarkably grounded. Imagine how you would behave if you were suddenly the toast of the town and, potentially, were worth $100-million?
It strikes me that Stone and Williams are actually enjoying the spotlight judging from the number of interviews they have done with the media in recent months. Yesterday, for example, they did another media tour, which included a stop at BoomTown with Kara Swisher
Swisher concedes the interview is far from hard-hitting given there’s really not much that Stone or Williams can say about the swirling rumors about Google, and the never-ending questions about Twitter’s business model.
Still, it is encouraging to see Williams and Stone talking about Twitter. If you’re a conspiracy theorist, you can draw your own conclusions about what they’re so available.
