I hate to be disrespectful or impolite but that’s just bullcrap. For whatever reason, people want to talk about Twitter vs. Facebook, or Facebook vs. Twitter as if they’re going mano-a-mano for personal update supremacy.
Truth be told, they’re two different kinds of animals that appeal to users for different reasons.
Twitter is about stream of consciousness – some of it useless and inane but some of it insightful and valuable. Facebook, meanwhile, is about communicating with a specific group of friends, sharing photos/video and maybe wasting/spending time on third-party applications.
While there are lots of people who use both platforms, and lots of people who choose between one or the other, they’re really not waging war against each other.
But I guess it makes for a sexy story if you can offer some dramatic about Facebook looking skewer Twitter’s momentum. Sadly, it’s not really true.
