So, how many people are really using Twitter?

According to eMarketer, the number of adult Twitters users in the U.S. is expected to reach 12.1 million this year and 18.1 million in 2010, compared with six million in 2008.

Compete.com, meanwhile, reports that Twitter attracted 14 million unique visitors in March.
