Tracking Your Tweet Links

Tweetburner
One of Twitter’s strengths as a communications tool is the ability to share URLs about interesting content, Web sites and online services.

If you’re into getting more information about how many times the links you provided are clicked on, Tweetburner is worth checking out.

In addition to offering a URL shortening service called Twurl, Tweetburner makes it easy to write updates for Twitter and Facebook.

(Note: The sign-up process appears not to work because you get an error message. However, I received a welcome message in my in-box afterwards, and was able to sign in)

You can also see Twurls done recently, the most popular within the last hour, and the ones with the most click-throughs.

The creation of a Dutch marketing agency, crossspring, Tweetburner is an interesting service but probably not something would be worth making a regular destination unless you’re really, really into click-through data.

That said, Tweetburner offers a service that Twitter, TweetDeck and Seesmic would be wise to embrace soon.
