Tweetdeck’s iPhone App is Sweet

If you’re Tweetdeck user – and, according to Sysomos’ Insider Twitter report, about 20% of Twitters use Tweetdeck, you’ll be happy to know there’s now an iPhone app.
For all intents and purposes, Tweetdeck on the iPhone is a mirror or Tweetdeck on the desktop. You get the standard “All Friends”, “Mentions” (aka “Replies”) and “DM” (aka “Direct Messages”), as well as the ability to create a variety of additional columns – just like you can on the desktop version.
You can reply to Tweets, send DMs and ReTweet quickly and easily. It’s also possible to e-mail a Tweet to someone and mark a Tweet as a “favorite”. There’s also a “Quick Follow” feature to add people to your list of friends.
What’s particularly nice about the iPhone version of Tweetdeck is you can synchronize it with your desktop application by creating a Tweetdeck account. As nice, you can create multiple Twitter accounts – something not available yet on the desktop version despite obvious demand.
All in all, Tweetdeck is a solid addition to the iPhone Twitter portfolio. Anyone using Tweetdeck on the desktop will probably embrace the iPhone app. If you’re into Tweetie, Twinkle or Tweetfon, Tweetdeck is worth checking out but may not have enough zing to pull you into the fold.
