Write Now, Tweet Later

For a long time, I wasn’t keen about the idea of being able to schedule Twitter updates to appear in the future. It seemed like an against the grain activity given Twitter is a real-time, dynamic medium.

But as Twitter evolves in an increasingly interesting communications and marketing tools, the ability to post-date updates has become more appealing as a way to stay engaged with your followers by giving them a steady stream of information.

For companies, post-dating Twitter updates is a valuable tool for making announcements, while individuals can schedule updates to provide regular updates on what they’re doing.

There’s no lack of tools to schedule Twitter updates for the future. Among the most popular and user-friendly is FutureTweets. After signing up and providing your Twitter username and password, you write an update and set the time when you want it to appear. That’s it.
