Since joining Twitter, my approach to following new people has been pragmatic, which explains why I’m following less than 300 people.
Whether or not it’s the right approach depends on what you want out of Twitter, but it works for me by making Twitter a manageable, valuable and entertaining resource.
That said, I’m amused by people who blatantly troll for new followers, especially those who suggest that if you follow them, they’ll follow you.
A case in point is Dr. Greg Lane (@drgreglane), who has enthusiastically discovered one feature within TwitterGrader.
Greg, the biggest problem with your invitation to follow is you’ve extended so many invites to other people that it’s impossible to get a handle on whether your Twitter updates are interesting enough to figure out whether you’re worth following.
This website uses IntenseDebate comments, but they are not currently loaded because either your browser doesn't support JavaScript, or they didn't load fast enough.
