The Twitter Times: All The News That’s Fit to Tweet

As Twitter evolves and more people use it to consume information, it will be interesting to see the different “mediums” that will emerge and be embraced.

Twitter.com is a no-frills interface that many people tend to abandon after they have gained some experience, and look for services with more features. This explains why Tweetdeck and Seesmic have gained so many users.

An interesting new entrants in the medium market is The Twitter Times, a service currently in private beta that looks at all of your Twitter followers and the links they provide, and then creates a “newspaper” based on those links.

The layout is divided into two section: “What’s Hot” and “Top News History” – providing the latest news and the newest getting the most links and attention. All in all, Twitter Times seems to be an interesting concept that looks appears to need a little more sizzle/features. I’ll do a more in-depth review when I get access to the private beta.
