Mapping a Way to New People to Follow

There are a growing number of new tools to find new people to follower but there’s still lot of room to make the process easier, faster and better.

An interesting approach is mentionmap, which creates a map that shows your connections to other people and, in turn, their connections. The idea is that you can explore the people that other people follow to discover new people to follow.

It’s an interesting concept but the interface could use some polishing. For example, I would like the ability to one-click follow rather than having to visit someone’s Twitter profile before being able to follow them.
