Riddle me this: How do you get people not on Twitter to see your Tweets? Answer: Use a service called Tweet to Email, which sends tweets from Twitter into someone’s inbox.
Aside from sending your tweets to friends and family who aren’t using Twitter, Tweet to Email looks like it may have good potential for marketers trying to jump-start their Twitter activities by making more people aware of what they’re doing.
To get started with Tweet to Email, you set up a group and then add contacts to it. The contacts can be added individual or via an online email service such as GMail, Hotmail or Yahoo.
The big question is how people respond to getting your tweets in their inbox given there’s no context and people not using Twitter are probably not using it for a reason. Then again, if the tweets are interesting, relevant and valuable, it may be a way for people to get something from Twitter without actually having to join it – sort of what FourWhere offers non-Foursquare users.

I don't get why this is an exciting concept. I tweet for the twitterverse, right? I email personal messages and such. I mean, I'm not trying to be argumentative, I just don't really see the point!
For marketers, the ability to extend their Twitter into non-Twitter territory is something that could be interesting to them. The question is whether people are interested in getting tweets in their inboxes.
