TwerpScan: Drilling Down on Followers & Friends

As you spend more time on Twitter and gain more friends and followers, it becomes increasingly difficult to keep track of who’s who. Into the fray steps TwerpScan, which bills itself as a Twitter contact management site. To that end, TwerpScan offers tools that let you see your followers and who’s following you.

To get a better sense of your followers, TwerpScan lets you see as many as 100 at a time.

It also provides the ability to get more information about a particular person following you, including information about their retweet rate, % of replies and how many of their tweets contain links. This provides a good sense of whether this person is real or a spammer.

TwerpScan also offers the same kind of tools to manage the people you follow.

Another good feature is being able to get details about a particular Twitter user. For example, I searched for @markevans. It displays the person’s profile and Twitter information, as well as details about RTs, % of replies and how many tweets contain links. The person’s last 20 tweets are displayed, and details about their Web sites.

Bottom line: For anyone looking to manage their followers and friends, as well as discover information about a Twitter user, TwerpScan fits the bill.
