Multiple Twitter Accounts, Anyone?

There are lots of people not only enthusiastic about Twitter but so enthusiastic they have multiple Twitter accounts – some for business and some for personal pursuits.

The challenge for these Twitter aficionados is discovering an application or service that can effectively and efficiently let them use and manage multiple accounts.

Another player in the multiple account market is Multwiple, an online service that makes up for its lack of frills with a clean and user-friendly service.

After signing up for Multwiple, adding Twitter accounts is easy. You click on the “+” tab, which connects you to Twitter. After signing in for a particular add, you click on “Allow”, and the account is added to Multwiple.

What I like about Multwiple is the ease in switching from one account to another by simply clicking on the tab. Multwiple also provides access to direct messages, mentions, favorites, your retweets, and retweets that mention you. You can also searches.

Bottom line: While Multwiple is no-frills, the one feature that would be nice to have is a URL shortener. But, all in all, it is a solid online service for anyone looking for a multi-account tool. In fact, it’s a tool that I could easily see adding to Twitter toolbox.

Hi Mark — Do you prefer this over clients like Tweetdeck and Hootsuite?

I really like Tweetdeck but it's not the most user-friendly tool to read multiple accounts. I like Hootsuite for things such as scheduling tweets and posting to multiple accounts via its integration with Ping.fm but don't use it often to post.

No url shortener makes it useless for the four business/personal accounts I manage. No metrics, no value.

Sounds new to me. I haven't heard about this. Maybe I should give this a try and check out the features. I am also enthusiastic about twitter and I am thinking of having multiple accounts. I think it'll also make my life easier.
