Twitter Rolls Out New Follower Tool

I’m not a big user of Twitter.com but a new feature now being rolled out could make it a lot more useful and interesting.

Yesterday, Twitter said it will be introducing “Suggestions for You”, which will displays other Twitter users that you may want to follow. Twitter said the feature is built on an algorithm that takes into account factors such as “people you follow and the people they follow.”

To be honest, this is a feature Twitter should have introduced a long time ago given discovering new and relevant people to follow is a key part of the making the use of Twitter more interesting and relevant. Instead, Twitter fooled with features such as suggestions a small group of popular users such as Ashton Kutcher, which was interesting but not that valuable.

Twitter’s suggestions for you will compete against third-party services such as Mr. Tweet, Twubble and TwitterGrader.
