According to Kara Swisher, Twitter is close to raising another $150-million in venture capital.
It raises a few questions:
1. What happened to the last large venture capital round that Twitter raised? Was it all spent on a new, spiffy office and a hiring binge?
2. What’s Twitter going to do with $150-million? Buy a business model?
3. Why does it need $150-million? There are infrastructure costs to support growth but where does all the other money going?
Twitter may not need it but when someone offers you a lot of money, it makes a lot of sense to take it because you never know when the money might disappear.
